What's the silence at the beginning of the wav export? Can it be changed to click instead?

I’m finding it hard to match the tempo for a perfect loop in my DAW, depending on the starting instrument its not completely straightforward to match the waveforms to the grid. Whenever you export a wav there’s a starting silence that doesn’t seem to be exactly 4 or however many bars. Could this be filled with a click? Thanks
