Searching for songs via chord progression is an incredibly valuable tool, but it needs just a bit more love
There are two problems:

Extension Matching: If I search, let’s say, for a IVmaj7 > I, a song that uses IVmaj7sus2 > I won’t show up in the results, despite it

Relative Mode: If I search for a IV > iii > vi in Major, songs that use VI > v > i in Minor won’t show up. This occurs a lot either because many transcriptions on Theorytab are in the wrong mode, or the tonality of the song is simply
I suggest that there be an option to turn off the normally strict parameters in the Chord Progression Node search, and allow the user to simply search by color (or just a checkbox that says relative) Color coding scale degrees was one of the most brilliant design decisions by the HT team since day one and it would make a lot of sense for it come into play here. Even better would be to let us customize the matching a little further than that (Include/exclude inversions/extensions/etc)
