The analysis is thorough but very approachable. Dylan’s songs are typically harmonically simple, and in the grand scheme of things, “Black Rider” is not incredibly complex, but it has a few unusual twists, particularly in the variations between verses.
Also, I think it’s a perfect example of functional harmony in a minor key, to go with that recent thread!
