Hi Hookpad team,
I just wanted to say I love using Aria and I use it a lot for songwriting and melody brainstorming, and it’s become a big part of my creative process.
I had two quick feature ideas that could make Aria even more powerful for songwriters:
-
Rhythm / note-length preferences
It’d be amazing if users could bias Aria toward certain note values (e.g. favoring 1/2 notes vs 1/4 notes, longer sustained notes, or more rhythmic/syncopated patterns). Rhythm is a huge part of melody for me, and this would help shape ideas more intentionally. -
Vocal input (singing or humming)
If it’s feasible, being able to sing or hum into Hookpad so Aria can detect rhythm and approximate pitch, then turn that into notes or melodic variations, would be incredibly useful for capturing ideas quickly. Aria already adds a ton of value, these ideas just come from using it so much and imagining how it could fit even more naturally into a songwriter’s workflow.
Thanks for building such a great tool.
