Is there an faster way to input notes?

Hi,

So apparently, I cannot type multiple notes at the same to to input as a melody, but rather must select each “Active Voice” button one at a time with a mouse click?

Is there not a faster way? Ideally I would like to just play the notes in from my midi keyboard.

Is this possible? How do people actually create longer pieces?
