Ever since 2.37.0, the ability to paste key signatures has been sacrificed. Instead, the mode of the first key signature is used to determine what the pasted music should be adapted to in the project.
If “Yes, transpose” is selected, the music is shifted to match the mode of the project. If the project is in major and the music is in minor, i chords will become vi, V(maj) becomes III(bor), etc.
If “No, paste as-is” is selected, the music is kept as is. i chords become I, VII becomes viio, etc.
However, I would like for there to be a third option. An option that preserves the key of the pasted music by adding a key change to the mode of the music. Just like it was before 2.37.0.
This option can also preserve music with key changes, something that both of the current options do not already do.
I find this to be more intuitive than manually adding back the key changes myself, especially if there is more than just the one at the start of the music.
